How do I get paid?
We pay your profit to your Stripe account. Connect Stripe in your store settings (open your store, then Edit Store, then Get paid). We pay out once a month when your balance is at least $25.00. Smaller balances roll over to the next month. Stripe then moves the money to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule.
Connecting Stripe
Choose Connect with Stripe. Stripe asks for your details and bank account, then sends you back to your settings, which now say Stripe Connected! If you connected Stripe on the old site, it is still connected.
I haven't connected Stripe yet
Your profit still counts. We keep your balance until you connect Stripe, then pay it in the next monthly payout (once it reaches $25.00).
Stripe says it needs more details
Stripe sometimes needs more from you (an ID check, a bank account) before it can send you money, and pauses transfers until it gets it. Your store settings then say Stripe needs a few details: choose Update your Stripe details, finish what Stripe asks for, and you're back on the next monthly payout. We email you when this happens. Your balance is kept meanwhile.
My Stripe account was disconnected
If you remove Merch.link from your Stripe account, or Stripe closes it, your settings say it's no longer connected. Choose Connect with Stripe again. Your balance is kept until you do.
Can I be paid with PayPal or Venmo?
Not yet. At launch we pay through Stripe only. PayPal and Venmo payouts are coming later; we'll let you know when they're available.
Will I get an email?
Yes. When a payout goes out, every owner of the store gets an email with the amount and how many orders it covers.
Are there fees?
Stripe may charge a small transfer fee, which comes out of the payout.
Do I need to send tax forms?
No. Stripe collects your tax details directly when you connect your account.
What happens if an order is refunded?
The profit for that order is reversed. If it hasn't been paid yet, it comes out of your balance. If it was already paid, we reverse that transfer from your Stripe account.
