What buyers see

A benefit store shows a Benefit label next to its name, a Raised total once it passes $30, and a Buy to Donate banner above the merch. Stores with more than six items repeat the banner at the bottom.

Designer credit

Benefit items name the designer, with a link to their store when it's public.

Donating a design

Anyone can design merch for a benefit store, from the donate link the store shares (merch.link/merch/new?benefit=true&artist=<store>). The generator shows Submitting to the store you're donating to.

  1. If you don't have an account, Create Designer Account first: your name, email and a password. You get a private designer store of your own.
  2. Upload and place your design, pick a colour and a price, like any merch.
  3. Choose Payout: Donate Proceeds gives the store everything after costs; Split Proceeds shares it 50/50 with you. To split, connect Stripe in your payout settings.
  4. Choose Submit Your Design! The store's owners get an email, and your merch waits as Pending Approval until they review it.

Approving donated merch

Donated designs show on your store as Pending Approval, only to you, with the designer's name. Choose Approve to publish the merch, or Decline to remove it from your store; buyers never see declined merch.

Fees

Benefit stores pay no Merch.link fee. Printing, shipping, payment processing and tax still come out of the donated amount. See how fees work.
