Creating merch: upload, position and publish

Uploading your design

Open New Merch on your store page (or create merch without an account) and drop an image on the shirt, or choose Browse.

• Use a PNG, JPG or GIF between 5 KB and 12 MB. A PNG with a transparent background prints best.
• Aim for at least 1000 pixels wide or tall. A smaller image can be placed, but it can't be enlarged past its own size, so it doesn't print blurry.
• Tick I hold the right to reproduce and sell the design first. Only upload art you made or have permission to sell; see the content policy.

If a file can't be used, the generator says why at the top of the page.

Positioning

The shaded box on the shirt is the print area. Drag your design to move it, and drag a corner to resize it; it keeps its proportions and stays inside the print area. With the design selected, the arrow keys nudge it (hold Shift to move further).

Colors

Choose Shirt Color lists the colours in stock. The shirt changes as you pick one, and the colour you choose is the one buyers get. A colour that runs out later is marked out of stock on your store.

Saving

Changes save themselves about a second after you make them. The title shows (Unsaved) while a change is waiting and (Saved) once it's stored.

Publishing

When everything is saved, choose Save! (or Create store! if you don't have an account yet; you'll sign up next and the merch moves to your new store).

Your merch shows Processing... on your store while we render the shirt images and send the design to our printer, usually within a minute. It then appears as Published without you reloading the page.

Making merch before you have a store

You can create merch without an account. Your draft is kept for you in this browser for 30 days. When you choose Create store! and sign up, the merch moves into your new store. Drafts that are never claimed are deleted after 30 days, along with their images.

Replacing or removing the design

Clear image removes the design so you can upload another. A new or removed design takes the merch off sale until you publish it again, so buyers never see a half-finished shirt.

Deleting merch

Under Shirt information, choose Delete Merch, then Are you sure!? to confirm. Deleted merch disappears from your store and can't be restored. Orders already placed are not affected.
